TG Escapes was founded in 2003 by Richard Harvey, who still leads our team today. While we initially built sustainable, attractive garden offices, our buildings quickly grew in size and ambition as we moved into the educational sector, constructing everything from standalone SEND classrooms to larger two-storey blocks.

We cover the entire UK from our Coventry base, with nearly 1000 buildings completed as we approach our 21st anniversary. While our buildings have grown in scale, our mission has remained the same: to create sustainable, positive spaces tailored to each client, primed for at least 50 years of regular use.

Future ready modular solutions

High-quality modular buildings provide our educational and commercial clients with a permanent space faster and at a lower price than a traditional brick-and-mortar building. By overseeing every aspect of the process from the initial design to the final handover of keys we can ensure exacting quality standards and commitments to our environmental principles.

• Net zero as standard: Our team designs around net zero in operation as standard, achieved through sustainable materials, energy-efficient designs, and solar panelling. We are also striving to achieve net zero as a company through a swath of changes across our business. Meeting net zero will ensure legal compliance and save considerable money on energy bills.
• Sustainable timber: Our buildings are constructed around timber frames and panelling, with all wood sourced from managed forests. Timber is a truly renewable resource, storing carbon throughout the lifespan of a building.
• Biophilic design: Our design team integrate biophilic design principles into every building we produce. Emphasising a connection to nature through outdoor access, views, and excellent quality ventilation, biophilic design has a proven impact on concentration, stress, and happiness, especially important within an educational environment.
• Our social commitments: We are committed to the well-being of our staff and clients, engaging with the educational community through several white papers, our tireless advocacy for biophilia, and our tree planting program supporting farmers in Uganda.

Our comprehensive service

Across twenty years of award-winning work, we’ve optimised our turnkey process to meet the needs of every client. Starting with a free design service from our in-house team of architects, we’ll cover off-site manufacture, on-site installation, and all finishing work needed. Everything is covered by the same friendly team, with a single point of contact and a fixed upfront price. This malleable system allows us to work directly with schools, or collaborate with contractors or developers.
